Active development

From recipe link to a list you can trust.

The product / 02

Grocery planning works better when the product preserves the recipe instead of pretending it knows more than the source.

I am leading product strategy, native interaction design, SwiftUI implementation, recipe-domain modeling, review states, and the optional import boundary. The product is being steered as an Apple-platform experience rather than a revived web app.

01

Import faithfully

A recipe URL becomes a review candidate with the source and uncertainty preserved.

  • Real URL import
  • Evidence-backed ingredient parsing
  • User confirmation for missing or uncertain fields
02

Scale exactly

Serving changes use domain-aware arithmetic instead of casually rewriting the recipe.

  • Exact quantity scaling
  • Original source retained
  • Missing units and quantities stay missing
03

Shop without lock-in

The local list remains useful even when optional services or retailer handoffs are unavailable.

  • Persistent local shopping list
  • Universal checklist fallback
  • Explicit retailer search-link handoffs

Product principles / 04

Transform the source. Never invent the recipe.

Grocerly’s product rules deliberately limit automation. AI can structure supplied ingredient text, but it cannot generate, improve, complete, or rewrite a recipe.

  • No recipe generation or rewriting
  • No guessed quantities, units, package sizes, or instructions
  • No retailer passwords, payment data, cookies, or hidden sessions
  • A local checklist remains the dependable fallback
